Hi, just trying to get the first post out of the way.
I own a Model 85 Alpina that is currently undergoing a rider-restoration.
hope to own a second Bultaco shortly, will keep posted.

This is how my M85 currently looks. I don't like the fenders but they are all I have at the moment. I also know the paint is the wrong blue but I really am not fond of the original bultaco blue and this is VHT epoxy paint... which happened to fail on me miserably. may be repainting soon. I remade the seat from the original pan with a leather cover. it may look odd but it is alot more comfortable than the original. if I can find a pic of the day I got it I will post here for contrast.

Wish my bike looked as good as yours. I'm just getting started. My bike was setting in a barn for years before I got it. What kind and size back tire are you runing?

Perrelli MT-43 4.00 X 18
Had a dunlop knobby on it when I got it but the knobs were too wide and rubbed the swingarm.
thanks for the coments on the bike but I still have a long way to go

The reason I asked about your back tire is mine is to wide also. It's a 400X18 and against the swing arm. I'm not intrested in a correct restoration on my bike. I just want a dependable woods/trail bike and if I can make it look better along the way I will. Guess it shows my age but I just like the looks of the old bikes better than the new ones.

How did you wire your ignition? For your kill switch did you open the circuit or ground it?

it was hooked up when I got the bike but there is only one wire going to it so I assume it grounds the ignition circuit cutting the spark

Here's a picture of my seat after I rebuilt it. haven't figured out a way to put the Bultaco lettering across the back but it sure would make it look better

I like it. I need to do something with my seat when I get the rest of the bike sorted out.
